Programs

The Wellesley Conservation Land Trust (WCLT) sponsors a number of programs throughout the year. See upcoming programs in our events list.

Semi-annual Meetings

Our semi-annual membership meetings feature presentations on such topics as natural history, sustainable gardening and building, local landscape history, or local biodiversity. Often our programs about New England wildlife include wild animal demonstrations. For descriptions of past meeting topics click here.

Bird Walks

In May of each year, the WCLT conducts bird walks on Sunday mornings. For more information click here.

Hot Cider Community Event at Cronk’s

The Wellesley Conservation Land Trust and Pippa and Judith (Cronk’s Neighborhood Stewards) invites you to join your neighbors for hot cider and donuts at Cronk’s Rocky Woodland

Come enjoy an open fire and celebrate our new fire screen, explore the charming Hansel and Gretel cottage, and learn how you can help “Cronk’s” continue as the wildflower garden that Gertrude Cronk established in the 1930s for all our neighborhoods to enjoy in perpetuity.

This is an annual event that usually happens in November. Check our upcoming events when Autumn arrives for the specific date and time.

Nancy’s Woodland Troll and Fairy House Building Event

The annual Nancy’s Troll and Fairy House event happens every spring at Pickle Point Sanctuary during Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend. On arrival at Pickle Point Sanctuary the children choose a tree and build their own Troll or Fairy House using the natural materials gathered along their walk. It is a magical event and the children have a great time imagining their fairy land! In years past the children’s creations have endured for a long time. The wish of the Council is to expose the children to nature’s wonders while having fun. Directions to Pickle Point.
